Here’s my story ...

I was born in Tijuana, Mexico, and from an early age it was very clear that I was born to run!  As you may know, greyhound are the fastest dog in the word able to reach speeds up to 45 miles per hour, and rank among the fastest animals in the world.  Despite my ability for quick bursts of speed, most of the time I like chilling out with my owners in my San Diego home!

I ran a total of 121 races at the Caliente Greyhound Racetrack before a leg injury sidelined my running career, but that didn’t slow me down a bit when it came to running and playing with my adoptive family.   While I can run like the wind for a short amount of time, most of the day I prefer hanging out on the coach with my family.

Greyhounds make excellent family pets, and most communities have several local organizations with retired racing greyhounds available for adoption.  Just ask me, “Tequila the Greyhound”…living with my adopted family is THE BEST!  Give some of my friends that are recently retired from a racing a chance to be a member of your family, and you’ll have the best companion you could ever imagine for life!
