Here’s my story ...

Lefty was born the first week of July, 2019, under my front porch. His mama was a stray, someone had “dropped off” in our neighbourhood. He and his brother and sister were quite wild, and we could not even approach them without them running off. Over the summer and early fall, I worked to tame them down a bit, hoping to catch them and find a good home for them. They became used to me, but didn’t let me touch them.
In October, tragidy struck, their mama dissapeared, and we have not seen her since. The kittens were able to take care of themselves, and I suplimented their food, and gave them a nice warm house to stay in over the winter.
I kept working on taming them, and, one at a time was able to touch and pet them.
Then again tragidy came. Lefty’s brother, we called him Poncho, was hit by a car in April. His sister, Fluffy, was hit in July. This left poor Lefty alone. (we don’t call him Lefty because of that, but because he seems to be left handed, doing things with the opposite paw than his brother and sister.)
Lefty was quite sad for a few days, calling for his family all around the house and neighbourhood. At this point I thought I may be able to tame him, so I worked harder to befriend him.
One day, he was crying outside the front door. I came out and sat down on the porch. He came up on the porch, lay down and fell asleep. I slowly moved closer, and was able to start petting him. He seemed to like it.
Since that time, he has become such a lover, he would rather be petted and scratched that eat. He has such a sweet personality. He follows me around, rubbing my legs, and asking for pats. I give him all I can, and love the little guy so much.
Now he has a forever home and a family.
