Here’s my story ...

Frimousse entered my life at the perfect moment. I had lost my two cats, 6 months apart from each other, a year before I had the chance of finding her at the SPCA. She was only 8 weeks old and she wanted so much to get out of her cage, that she was climbing the bars of the door. When I decided to take her out of her cage and hold her for a second to calm her down, my heart melted instantly! I was still grieving the loss of my two cats and I thought that I was not ready to adopt a new cat, because I was too afraid to losing it again. But that little ball of fur healed me with her purring and the way that she was looking at me. At that moment, I knew that we were meant for each other and I promise her to always take good care of her. I also asked her to do her best to stay with me for the next 20 years… Well, it appears that she agreed to my terms because Frimousse is now 18 years old!!! She a part of our family and she was with me through everything: my veterinarian degree (she was always on my lap when I was studying), the birth of our 4 children, the arrival and sadly the lost of some of our other animals (she is outliving them!)… She overcome an acute renal failure when she was 10 years old and went through surgery for an herniated disk (rare condition for a cat) at the age of 11 years old. She’s a survivor!!! I have to admit that I am the veterinarian that I am now because that little kitten opened my heart to a wonderful love story. All the member of the family are hoping that we will have the chance to live a ton of moments with Frimousse, but we are conscience that we are on borrowed time with her and we must cherish every moment… We will always love you Frimousse and we are blessed to have you in our life. xxx
